The Importance of Intention

There are many health care experts who recommend making regular, healthy activities a part of your daily routine. Those are good suggestions, and please follow your doctor’s recommendations. However, there is an aspect of intention that should be present in Self-Care that should go beyond routine. Be aware that you are consciously choosing to work extra time into your schedule to take care of yourself, and enjoy that time. This is going to be a very individual thing: some people love tidying, but others find anything that smacks of housework to be drudgery; some people think cooking is the most tedious chore ever, while others feel it combines sensual pleasure with creativity. That’s okay: keep looking until you find something that clicks for you.
